A New Year’s Resolution that does NOT require a gym membership!
As a resounding “think about this one” Let’s all agree that it is unlikely to see a baby giraffe nursing from a rhinoceros. Humans do it daily. Even biblical nutritionists figured out that goat milk was better than cow milk simply because the baby did not vomit goat milk after ingestion unlike cow milk. We “nurse” from another species and wonder why we have health issues? Here are the top FIVE reasons to keep the cow sacred and out of your diet.
1. Chronic Inflammation
Dairy is highly acidic, despite it containing high amounts of calcium that acts as an alkaline agent by nature. Milk is rich in natural acids that can cause calcium deposits to build up and potentially cause arthritis and long-term inflammation. It also doesn’t necessarily keep our bones strong as we once believed. Most plant-based foods do a much better job (such as chard, kale, almonds, figs) and don’t contribute to chronic inflammation.
2. Aging
Quite honestly, animal products just age the body, plain and simple. Think about how much work they have to go through to process the particles from another living being. No wonder they’re tired! Dairy is an especially poor choice since it’s one of the hardest to digest and one of the well-studied in its relationship to cancer and disease. Raw (and even some cooked) fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains, beans, legumes, and healthy fats are a much better option. These foods all contain plant-based protein, along with vitamins and minerals that help in extending longevity and promote beautiful skin that ages slowly.
3. Poor Skin (and Internal Health)
As superficial as it might seem and as unimportant as it might be in the grand scheme, your skin’s health is just as important as any other aspect of your health. Why? Because it shows how healthy the inside of your body is. Your skin is the largest organ on your body and whatever the internal body can’t get rid of, the skin will try to do so itself. This is especially true when it comes to the liver and digestive system having a hard time with internal wastes that can’t be properly removed. When you consume too much (or for some people, even a little) dairy, the skin usually takes a major hit. You’ll see this through acne, redness, splotchy, or just lackluster skin. Many people notice huge improvements to their skin the first few days without dairy. This is because the inside of the body is better able to clean itself out and the skin isn’t left to do all the work itself.
4. Chronic Digestive Problems
Aside from a little lactose, dairy can also cause some gut damage due to the way it inflames the gut lining. It’s one of the worst to cause and irritate leaky gut syndrome, which can lead to autoimmune disease and other health issues over time. Then there are the digestive disturbances along the way such as bloating, constipation, diarrhea, or even long-term IBS. Many people who suffer from more serious disorders such as Crohn’s disease find that once they ditch dairy, healing naturally begins. Others just find their systems work much better without dairy. After all, let’s remember that outside of the fancy cartons and marketing, that dairy is basically just a COW’s mammary liquid produced after being pregnant – do you think your stomach really wants to deal with that!?
5. Cancer Risks
What’s even worse than digestive disorders is the way dairy contributes to cancer. It’s been found to be a leading cause and contributor to prostate, breast, testicular, and colon cancer. Dairy is not a health food and one can’t be certain how much is too much and how much is okay. Why risk it, we ask? Don’t ignore your health and pretend the little signs don’t matter. They could be the one thing your body is using to tell you that you’re dealing with a more serious health issue. A plant-based diet, free from dairy, has been found one of the best to prevent cancer and other forms of disease.
Think about alternatives and even goat products align with our biochemistry a lot better than the cow.
2015 THE YEAR OF WELLNESS
As the insatiable cash beast of the US healthcare system lurks into 2015, a compelling movement serves to dismantle spending at the corporate level.
Just the Facts?
1. The causes of death in America are well publicized in the popular news magazines on line and in print. What is not publicized is the fact that medical errors, surgical complications, adverse drug reactions, infections and unnecessary procedures take the top cause of death category well in excess of the usually indicted cardiovascular disease state. The number exceeds cardiovascular disease by over 100,000 people.
2. The unfortunate equation that creates the fact in #1 is the DSM+ICD9=Drug/procedure. We use a diagnostic statistical manual to identify the disease state (DSM) which gives the billing clinic/physician the code to get reimbursed cash (ICD9 code) and the only resulting outcome for the patient is a drug or a procedure.
3. The unfortunate situation in fact #2 is that consumers of healthcare now realize how flawed it is. Their concern is categorically reinforced by the top cause of death in America which is the very healthcare system that is now waking up to the consumer demand for wellness instead of that broken equation for death.
4. Expenditures for healthcare in America are in excess of 2.5 trillion $2,594,000,000,000! This astronomic figure is dwarfed by the fact that as much as 40% is spent on the final 30 days of the person’s life. Yes, the “final days” budget creates additional discord with consumers of healthcare simply because they wonder what that money could have done for them earlier in the life of their healthcare.
As the nations’ health troubadour, I predict a robust movement into wellness simply because the Affordable Care Act will only expose the brokenness of our healthcare system to additional consumers.
Hardly the most health oriented packaged goods manufacturers, Coors Beer and Coca Cola have reaped the rewards of wellness programs. The beverage giants have returned as much as 5 to 10 dollars on every dollar spent on wellness. They are also realizing the benefits of showing workforce populations that it is perfectly productive to “care” about the wellbeing of the corporation’s greatest asset, the productive employee.
Wellness programs are linked to greater productivity, less absenteeism, and a reduction of long-term health care costs. Are you doing enough to ensure the health of your workforce? Even if you don’t have the resources to implement a complete wellness program, there are several things you can do that show your employees you value their health. Product Explanations Made Simple
7.2 SHAKE
ESSENTIAL and PRISTINE
Essential: Defined in nutrition as that which is not MADE in the body but is essential for human health. It is the human health duty to discover and supply what is essential for human health and we rely on excellent products to supply “essential” items and in the case of plant based proteins and amino acids, 7.2 shake provides essential amino acids in abundance that increase mood and fat burning in individuals.
Pristine: Defined as “clean, fresh, original and unspoiled. The process used to make all of 7.2 products is one of great care and respect for original ingredients and maintaining them in their original nutrient rich form. There are great economic pressures in the natural products industry to deviate from the norms of SevenPoint2 quality. Cheaper ingredients often mean processed, mass produced materials that lack nutrient value and are contaminated or compromised in too many ways to explain.
7.2 GREENS
NUTRIENT DENSE
Nutrient Dense has no definition but has great meaning when discussing Greens and the specific nutrients that are “inside” the greens. The materials I mention are not listed on the label because the FDA regulations only allow MACRO nutrients of which a RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) such as vitamin A and minerals Potassium and magnesium. The true nutrients found in 7.2 Greens are nick named “plant blood” or specifically chlorophyll, the nutrient that makes plants green. Also, very expensive and beneficial nutrients naturally occur in properly grown greens called Lutein and Zeaxanthin. Consumers pay a lot of money for Centrum Silver with Lutein, a popular multivitamin (synthetic mind you!) available in drug stores. The sad reality is that the product has ZERO Zeaxanthin in it, and Lutein is best ingested with Zeaxanthin. An even larger travesty is that they only have 250 Micrograms of Lutein per dose. The American Optometric Association recommends 10 mg of Lutein and 2 mg of Zeaxanthin a day, as both are needed for absorption of each other. Centrum Silver has 250 mcg which is 40 times lower than the recommended amount and even worse considering they have zero Zeaxanthin in the product!! Our greens conservatively contains the recommended amount in one scoop!
7.2 BOOSTER
BEST NIGHTIME
Considering that the US population is only 5% and our consumption of sleeping pills beats any other country in per capita statistics, anything to assist sleep would be a popular benefit to a natural product. Booster is a special product in that it is designed to alkalize you while you sleep. The herbal blend is calming and the ingredients are accepted worldwide for digestive health and cortisol regulation. The mineral forms are very specific to the alkaline diet and the bicarbonate forms of minerals make them very absorbable and effective. Keep the bottle at you bedside table as a reminder!
7.2 RECOVERY
COMPREHENSIVE and SELECTIVE ANTIOXIDANT
We know that calcium, phosphorus and magnesium are common elements and often seen as ingredients in health products. There are over 24 forms of ingestible elemental calcium and magnesium and each form has very unique properties.
The reactive combination of the minerals in 7.2 Recovery is dramatic in its effect on human health. The reactive effect is to produce molecular hydrogen and a cascade of positive human health benefits supported by documented medical research articles. Imagine molecular hydrogen selectively reducing the negative oxidative molecules and enhancing the positive antioxidant potentials in the body. It is comprehensive in that any troubled cell can obtain relief through molecular hydrogen. Most antioxidants are NOT selective and they can damage and eliminate anti-aging materials such as SOD (superoxide dismutase).
Made Simple? The essential and pristine 7.2 Shake in blended with the nutrient dense 7.2 Greens starts your day with a smile. Comprehensive and Selective antioxidant protection from 7.2 Recovery keeps you healthy and alkaline regardless of the challenges of the day. The best nighttime formula 7.2 Booster makes for a restful and alkalizing night. Sleep well; you’ve had a 7.2 day!
News You Can Use
American College of Sports Nutrition World Conference 2014
The American College of sports medicine celebrated its 60th year with its annual meeting May 27, 2014.
The meeting highlighted the World Congress on the role of inflammation in exercise health and disease.
SevenPoint2 supported a clinical trial through its association with Researcher Sergej Ostojic, titled The Effectiveness of Molecular Hydrogen in the Management of Musculotendinous Injuries. The study was under the auspices of University of Central Florida College of Education and Human Performance. The study revealed that a single week molecular hydrogen intervention augmented plasma viscosity decrease and speeding up recovery from limb swelling in male athletes suffering from sports related injuries.
The primary finding in this study provided evidence that molecular hydrogen maybe effective as an additional agent to traditional treatments in male professional athletes.
SevenPoint2 Director of Corporate Development Bill Sickert was elated after the conference. The stature and credibility of the clinical presentations at the ACSM Annual Meeting was a fantastic opportunity for increasing the awareness of SevenPoint2 in the marketplace. Sevenpoint2 and the Molecular Hydrogen product Recovery with HydroFX® was received with excitement as people visited the SevenPoint2 booth for more specific information on the SevenPoint2 family of products.
There were 120 booths approximately 5000 attendees made up of well over 1500 students and the rest were attendees from all over the world.
Our clinical poster presentation is now in the archives for us to use in marketing as well as the springboard for future inquiries or projects we may have with the University of Central Florida and Dr. J Hoffman the director of research who invited Sergej Ostojic to extend his visiting professorship for as long as two years.
The unusual experience was the length of stay for each one of the booth attendees literally averaging as much as 10 minutes per visit people were very intrigued by molecular hydrogen as well as the alkaline diet which reinforces exactly what we’re doing in the marketplace.r H
