1. The NIMH has totally debunked the current Psychiatric system as a drug cartel. I have contacts at the companies that actually negotiate what drugs and rebates go to medical groups and insurance companies to prescribe psychiatric medications.
2. NEW Drugs have the highest rebates and programs to lower the cost to the patient BUT INCREASE THE VOLUME of prescriptions as a result. The math is extraordinary and works only if the rate of diagnosis increases over time. Please understand that blood pressure can only be measured and the medications for it can only be limited to improving it based on a few sources of the high blood pressure.
3. The percentage required to expand the drug market for ANY diagnosis radically is 100% or DOUBLE the base amount over a 10 year period. This ensures a robust “cartel” of new drug placement and rebate programs (YES when I worked in Medical Services we called it a $$kick-back and it was violative). The rate of increase for psychiatric diagnosis from DSM1 to DSM5 (the diagnostic “bible” used in psychiatry for the past 50 years is FIVE HUNDRED and FIFY PERCENT!
